Privacy Policy

WheelTidy is a macOS desktop-organization utility developed by Erkan Ardıç. This policy explains what information WheelTidy can access, what stays on your Mac, and what happens when you contact support.

WheelTidy does not require an account. We do not sell personal information, show advertisements, or track you across apps or websites.

WheelTidy works only with a folder that you explicitly select through the standard macOS folder picker, such as your Desktop or a test folder. The app can inspect the names, types, locations, and dates of eligible items so it can organize them into dated session folders.

File organization, session creation, and restoration are performed locally on your Mac. File contents, folder listings, and session information are not uploaded to us.

WheelTidy may store settings, folder-access bookmarks, collection history, session manifests, and your pinned or excluded-item choices locally in its app container. This information helps the app remember your preferences and restore earlier sessions.

We cannot access this local information. Removing the app may remove its settings and local history, but it does not automatically delete files that WheelTidy has organized into folders you control.

Folder access is granted only after you choose a location in the macOS system picker. You can stop using a folder at any time by selecting a different one or removing the app's permission in macOS settings.

WheelTidy does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, photo library, or location, and it does not use Apple Events to control Finder.

WheelTidy does not include third-party advertising, analytics, tracking, or cloud-processing SDKs. Its core features do not require an internet connection.

Apple may process information related to App Store distribution, purchases, downloads, and diagnostics under Apple's own privacy terms. We do not receive your payment information from Apple.

If you email us, we receive the email address, message, and any attachments you voluntarily provide. We use this information only to answer your request, investigate the reported issue, maintain support records, and meet applicable legal obligations.

Please do not send private file contents unless they are necessary for diagnosing your request.

WheelTidy is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.

We may update this policy when the app or legal requirements change. The current version will always be published on this page with its latest revision date.
